Guest speaker on the theory and practical applications of X-ray crystallography

November 18, 2021 and November 25, 2021, 2.00pm-3.30 pm

Dear Students, Professors, Interested Colleagues!

I would like to inform all interested parties that on November 18 and November 25, 2021, from 14.00 to 15.30, Professor dr. Hamilton B. Napolitano (UniEvangelica, Anapolis, Brasil) gives a four-hour lecture on the theory and practical applications of X-ray crystallography.

THE TOPICS OF THE LECTURES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

  1. Crystallographic Symmetry: with emphasis on crystalline state and unit cell;
  2. X-ray Diffraction: with a focus on the interaction between radiation and matter;
  3. Fourier Transform: with emphasis on structure factor and electron density;
  4. Molecular Structure: with a focus on polymorphism.

The presentations can be followed on the Zoom interface. Listening to the lecture is subject to registration. The deadline for registration is November 15, 2021, 12:00 noon.
