Topic

The course provides introductory knowledge in the field of cosmetology. During the semester, we will review the most important information about cosmetics based on the knowledge of pharmaceutical technology and biopharmaceuticals, including information on the licensing of cosmetics. Students can gain insight into the professional background of cosmetics for different skin types, which can provide useful knowledge in the pharmacological care of certain skin conditions (e.g., eczema, rosacea, pigment spots) in pharmacy practice.

Conditions for acceptance of the semester

Maximum of 25 % absence allowed

Mid-term exams

Students have to write an end-semester assessment from the lecture at an acceptable level of 60%.

Making up for missed classes

In case absences exceed 25% of total class time, the course will be regarded as uncompleted. There is no opportunity to make up missed classes.
