We are once again organizing a blood donation event at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Pécs, to which we warmly welcome students, lecturers, staff of the faculty, as well as residents of the city.
The blood donation will take place on Thursday, May 7, between 9:45 and 12:00 am, in the ground floor student area of Building K, Rókus Street, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Pécs. From 9:45 am, registration and data verification will take place, and the blood donation itself will begin at 10:00 am.

Important Information:
Age of donors:
– First-time donors: 18–60 years
– Repeat donors: 18–65 years (Donors over 60 or 65 may be allowed to donate based on an individual medical assessment if deemed fit and the donation is considered risk-free.)
- Please bring your ID card, social security card, and address card.
- Make sure to eat and drink properly! Increased fluid intake is recommended several hours before donation (approx. 1.5 liters per meal).
Exclusion criteria for blood donation:
– Body weight below 50 kg or above 140 kg
– Chronic diseases (except treated high blood pressure)
– Within the past 4 months: tattoo, piercing, acupuncture treatment, ear piercing, or invasive medical procedures (e.g. endoscopy)
– Insulin-treated diabetes (those on medication may donate)
– Within 2 weeks after tooth extraction
– Within 2 days after minor dental treatment (e.g. filling, tartar removal)
– Within 30 days after a tick bite
– During antibiotic treatment and for 1 month after completion
Taking painkillers is not an exclusion factor. You may also donate blood with allergies, as long as there are no acute symptoms.
