On 6 June, the Orfű Active Water Tourism Centre once again hosted the University of Pécs Staff Dragon Boat Regatta. Organized jointly by the University of Pécs Sports Office and the PTE for Families programme, the event brought together teams representing various organizational units of the university to compete in a friendly yet challenging sporting environment.
The popular community sports event featured 11 teams in the dragon boat competition, while 10 teams entered the traditional cooking contest. The full-day programme provided an excellent opportunity for sport, recreation, and strengthening connections among members of the university community.
The Faculty of Pharmacy was represented by the Biotechnősök team, which demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and perseverance throughout the competition, ultimately securing an impressive 4th place in the dragon boat race. Competing in a strong field, the team delivered an outstanding performance and represented the Faculty with distinction at this prestigious university event.
The final race proved particularly exciting, with only a few centimetres separating the top finishers. The regatta took place in a fantastic atmosphere and once again highlighted the important role that shared sporting experiences play in fostering a strong and cohesive university community.
