EIT online InfoDay on the 27th of March

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology's (EIT) Health Innovation Community (EIT Health) has announced its 2023 calls for applications for medtech, biotech and digital health-related health development projects, open to SMEs, individual entrepreneurs and start-ups. The UP MS Institute of Transdisciplinary Discoveries organize an online information session about the new opportunities on 27 March.

The new Accelerator programmes and Bootcamps aimed at SMEs, startups, entrepreneurs and innovators who want to connect with European health experts to fast track their business ideas in health innovation.

The accelerator programmes catalyse new business growth to deliver transformative products and services. EIT works with entrepreneurs, startups and SMEs to shorten the time-to-market for life-changing health products and services while creating new jobs and contributing to a thriving economy. Since launching in 2016, EIT Health Ireland UK has supported more than 170 startups with significant investment of €293 m until 2022.

Applications now are open to entrepreneurs, start-ups, SMEs, innovative project owners focused on medtech, biotech, and digital health. Whether you need access to knowledge, new markets, key stakeholders, or investors and funding – EIT Health can help!

Due to the complexity of the calls, the University of Pécs Medical School Institute of Transdisciplinary Discoveries (ITD) organize an online event where in addition to the description of the application materials, we are going to share useful and practical tips with the interested parties in order to submit a successful application.

Békási Tamás - EIT Health RIS Business Creation Manager

Over the past fifteen years, Tamás Békási has gained extensive experience in process and business development, marketing communications and international service transfer in the agency, corporate and SSC sectors. As the Business Creation Project Manager in the RIS region of EIT Health (European Institute of Innovation and Technology), his main task is to support and mentor healthcare professionals and start-ups in Europe and in the country. 

His presentation will be on RIS Business Creation Programmes 2023.

Dr. István Dobos – Attorney at Law

Dr István Dobos, attorney at law, will also give an interesting presentation on "Legal solutions for start-ups - the role of control rights". He has been dealing with start-ups, syndicate agreements, equity investments and full buy-outs (exits) for 10 years. In addition to Hungarian, István works in English and German, so he can also help you with possible foreign expansion or capital investment from abroad.
