The TDK fair will be organised for the 12th time on October 22, between 1pm and 5pm in the György Romhányi Aula of the Medical School. The goal of the event is providing an opportunity for students to learn about research possibilities during their university studies, which could serve as the basis of their thesis or PhD work later.
The TDK fair is organised by the Hungarian Admissions and Student Service Office on request of the Undergraduate Research Committee; every general medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and biotechnology students will be welcomed by the departments and clinics of the Medical school and Faculty of Pharmacy.
Students can not only gain information at the stands, but they can also try out certain equipment. Visiting the stands is worth it even if students already know their research topic, since they could learn skills during the event that might be useful later on.
During the TDK fair, students can learn about the methodology of clinical research, a base science view, critical thinking skills and effective cooperation when working in groups.
It is important to note that TDK work can not only be done by students in their fifth and sixth year, and not all clinics and departments require students to complete a given subject prior to starting TDK work. Departments and clinics will share their research profile at the fair and showcase the type of work they can offer for students and list any pre-requirement they might have.
