World Water Day (March 22) has been celebrated by the United Nations worldwide since 1993, drawing attention to the importance of protecting the Earth’s freshwater resources. In line with its sustainability efforts, the University of Pécs Faculty of Pharmacy is launching a special digital virtual escape room in honor of World Water Day.
In this game, available in both Hungarian and English, participants investigate a mysterious water contamination in a fictional laboratory. By the end of the investigation, not only is the puzzle solved, but players also gain eye-opening insights related to protecting our environment’s waters.
The game is available:
- From 12:00 pm on Thursday, March 20, 2025
- Until 12:00 pm on Thursday, March 27, 2025
The concept behind this digital escape room is to raise awareness, in a playful way, about the importance of water cleanliness and responsible resource management. At the same time, this World Water Day event is an excellent opportunity to share sustainability messages—whether it’s about reducing water usage in laboratories or promoting water-saving practices in everyday life—with an even wider audience.
Players who successfully complete the virtual escape room can enter a prize draw, where three lucky winners will receive a gift package from the Faculty.
