On February 21, 2026, the 13th Faculty of Pharmacy Ball in Pécs was organized jointly by the University of Pécs Faculty of Pharmacy, the László Cholnoky College for Advanced Studies in Pharmacy and Biotechnology, and the Student Union of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Pécs.
In keeping with tradition, this year the Aula of the University of Pécs Faculty of Medicine once again hosted the Faculty Ball, which welcomed more than 300 guests.

The event was not only an occasion for entertainment and celebration, but—just like every year—it also served a charitable purpose: with the full proceeds, the participants supported the "For the University of Pécs Pharmaceutical Education", which promotes the faculty’s educational and research initiatives.
This year, the theme of the ball evoked the elegant world of the Oscar Awards. Upon entering via the red carpet, guests were welcomed by a humorous awards ceremony, exquisite culinary specialties, a choir performance, and a dance floor, while the central focus of the evening’s “script” was the shared community experience, as reported by the PTE News.
At the beginning of the evening, following the formal introductions, the awards ceremony took place, where guests could enjoy entertaining welcome speeches.
The faculty colleagues delivering the gala greetings were invited onto the stage in a manner reminiscent of the atmosphere of the Oscars.
The first Oscar of the evening was awarded to the director of a “film” that has been successfully running for 25 seasons in the “program” of the University of Pécs. Thus, the award for Best Director was presented to Dr. András Fittler, Dean, who thereby officially opened the celebration.
The producer of this year’s “season” was the "For the University of Pécs Pharmaceutical Education", which has played a defining role in the history of pharmacy education for years. Accordingly, the award for Best Producer was received by the President of the Foundation, Dr. Róbert Vida.
The award for Best Music Producer of the evening was presented to Dr. Sarah Shubail, President of the László Cholnoky College for Advanced Studies, in recognition of the College’s support of the ball through the band’s performance.
This year’s Patronus Awards also found their recipients in the persons of Dr. Zsuzsanna Rozmer, Vice Dean, and Dr. Kitti Garai, Assistant Professor.
The introductory part of the evening concluded with a light-hearted performance by the newly re-formed Rozsdás Pisztillus Chamber Choir, featuring a selection of well-known ABBA hits.

Following the festive dinner, live music was provided by the Rouge Party Band, and from midnight onwards the atmosphere was taken over by the KOHÓ DJ formation. At the photo wall and in the selfie box, guests were able to capture many memorable moments.
The exquisite dishes and wide selection of drinks at the Faculty of Pharmacy Ball were provided by the Umami Café and Restaurant.
A gala evening would not be complete without small surprises. By purchasing the tea developed by our faculty, guests could support the work of our foundation. With the tea purchases, more than 80 gift packages were won by lucky participants.
