The arrival of spring was celebrated with an evening of music on March 31 at the University of Pécs Medical School, where faculty members, students, and staff from the medical and pharmacy took to the stage. For the twelfth time, the Dr György Romhányi Aula was filled with music and life, once again serving as a concert hall for the Spring Concert. The evening also included the presentation of the 2026 WITTY (Well-being Initiative of the Year) Award.
The 12th Spring Concert featured nearly twenty performances, ranging from classical works to contemporary hits. Among the pieces performed was the second movement of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Violin Concerto in A major, while popular music was also represented, including Christina Aguilera’s Hurt. In addition to soloists and duets, ensembles also took the stage, with both the PTE Orchestra and PTE Voice Potential contributing to the evening’s vibrant atmosphere.
Dance performances added further colour to the programme. The Dance Clinic team captivated the audience with A Thousand Lights, while third-year medical student Krisha Rakesh Mistry and first-year medical student Sathyan Rennie gave a classical Bharatanatyam performance.
As part of the Spring Concert, the Medical School also presented its WITTY Award, recognising the winning project in the “Well-Being Institute of the Year 2026” competition. The award went to the Pediatric Clinic of the University of Pécs Clinical Centre for its project Medicina Silentium – The Science of Mindful Rest.
