Pharmacy is an increasingly complex and dynamic profession in which up-to-date, specialised knowledge provides real value both in the labour market and in everyday patient care. The Specialist Pharmacist Training Programme at the University of Pécs Faculty of Pharmacy enables graduate pharmacists to deepen their expertise through a modern, practice-oriented curriculum in one of three main fields.
A specialist pharmacist qualification offers more than professional recognition: it can strengthen clinical and professional decision-making, broaden career opportunities, and support progression in community, hospital-clinical, and industrial pharmacy.
What is new in 2026?
• The renewed curriculum includes a two-day practical training programme on medication use review, medication safety checks, and therapy management in pharmacy practice.
• The Industrial and Pharmaceutical Research specialisation will be relaunched with a renewed curriculum.

The curriculum is continuously updated in line with professional, labour-market, and regulatory expectations. It places particular emphasis on independent professional work, decision-making, medication safety, and the analysis of real-life cases, with guidance from experienced pharmacists, academics, and clinicians.
