On 17 September 2026, the GYTK Professional Day, Professional Evening & Alumni Day brought together current and former students, faculty members, staff and professional partners. Throughout the day, professional programmes, student initiatives and community experiences all played an important role.

The event was officially opened by Prof. Dr András Fittler, Dean and University Professor, and the day continued with a dynamic community activity: the “Step Up!” Team Competition. The participants started with a joint warm-up before taking on the challenge and competing in speed and endurance. Starting from the ground floor of Building K, the teams made their way up to the Collaboratory on the fourth floor, located in the attic. Halfway through the course, they had to complete a skill and precision challenge involving the use of a two-pan balance. After successfully completing the task, the teams ran back down to the ground floor, where the finish line awaited them.
Speed was not the only factor determining the results: the accurate completion of the measurement task and effective teamwork also played an important role.
The winning team wasIzomláz, consisting of Fruzsina Ottó, Laura Simonyai, Virág Peho, Katinka Varga and Csenge Zoé Kiss.
The morning continued with a focus on student initiatives and personal stories. As part of the GYTK Pitch – Student Stories in 10 Minutes program, participants could learn about the opportunities, experiences and community activities available to pharmacy students through a series of short presentations in both Hungarian and English. Topics included why it is worth becoming a mentor, the benefits of taking part in TDK research, and the opportunities offered by international mobility. The GYTK Student Union, PSZIKON, International Evening and the Hungarian Red Cross also introduced their activities.
Three engaging professional presentations followed the pitches. Dr Anna Zelma Faisal, Clinical Pharmacist, offered an insight into the world of clinical pharmacy with her presentation “Do You Know What a Unit Dose Is? – An Alumna Working in a Clinical Setting.” This was followed by Dr Edina Pallagi, Research Pharmacist, Associate Professor, Owner of the Cremediq Brand and Product Developer, who gave a presentation entitled “Cosmetology in Practice from a Pharmacist’s Perspective.” The morning’s professional programme concluded with Dr Botond Pető, Pharmacist and Influencer, and his presentation “The Future of Pharmacy.”
Student Research Society (TDK) activities also played a prominent role during the day. The TDK Poster Exhibition was available to visitors throughout the day in the first-floor corridor, showcasing students’ research projects and findings. As part of the institute visits, students interested in TDK also had the opportunity to gain insight into the everyday work of the research groups and meet members of the institutes in person.
In addition to the professional programmes, student stands were available throughout the day, providing opportunities for questions, discussions and interactive activities.
The day concluded with the presentation of awards and recognitions, honouring students’ academic achievements, accomplishments and contributions to the Faculty community.

Following the professional and community programmes, the event continued in the afternoon with the Professional Evening, bringing the day to a close with a cooking competition, beer pong and a party.
The GYTK Professional Day, Professional Evening & Alumni Day thus brought together professional inspiration, scientific research, student initiatives, the alumni community and shared experiences in a single event.
